Static Art to Concert-Ready Motion
The brief
Turn three polished character illustrations, supplied only as low-resolution PNGs, into a library of animated forest scenes for a weekend concert’s LED wall.
How I brought the characters to life
-
Pixel-perfect prep
I up-scaled each design so every line and texture stayed crisp. -
Rapid scene generation
Inside ComfyUI with the Flux Kontext model, a wildcard-prompt rig produced hundreds of magical-forest variations in just a few hours, all while locking the characters’ exact look. -
Cinematic motion passes
I hand-selected the best frames and ran them through Kling AI to add subtle animation that looks great on massive screens. -
Final polish for the LED wall
A second upscale, unified color grade, and timing tweaks in After Effects ensured every clip glowed under concert lighting.
The result
-
Dozens of seamless 4K clips delivered within 48 hours
-
Premiered on towering LED screens during live performances the same weekend
-
One thrilled client and two digital stars that stole the show

The question was simple: is this possible?
Recently I was asked to create multiple animated scenes in a magical forest, based on just three supplied character images and with very little time to deliver. At Craftopia, I usually mix AI with classic animation, but in this case I went all-in on AI. That made it extra interesting.
I started by upscaling the low-res images. Then I got to work in ComfyUI using the Flux Kontext model, which I had just spent a week experimenting with. By setting up a wildcard system for the prompts, I could quickly generate a huge variety of results. After a few hours of rendering, it was time for cherry-picking the best ones. Each selected image was animated with Kling AI, upscaled again and finished in After Effects.
It was a challenging process, but I learned a lot and the result was worth it. The visuals were already on LED screens at the event that same weekend, shown during live performances. The client was happy, and so was I.
